I am an Android software developer where I program in Kotlin and focus mainly on android mobile application. I currently work at Gallup where, I am part of a team of
mobile developers with a primary focus to implement long and short term deliverables while coordinating with product management team to meet product roadmap and guidelines.I continuosly write tests for application robustness, while ensuring usability, and general reliability of the mobile application is not compromised.
Improving application performance via bug fixes and managing edge cases is a continuously process in my role requirements that I continue to excel in. I partner often with QA and cross-team developers while implementing new features or maintaining existing ones to ensure best practices are followed, while also complying with rules on ADA requirements of mobile application usage as well as localization.
Working as an software developer has its challenges and my experience coupled with my "achiever" strengths has helped me push barriers I never thought possible. It is indeed a great career path of continuous learning, difficult to truly be bored and can be rewarding in many ways. It is also a journey ridden with support from the tech communities that make coding even more enjoyable. If I had another life to live again, I will still come back as a software developer.
